Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

There is much debate recently about Old Abe's origins. I will look forward to seeing this at the State Fair when we go.

I was hesitant to post here, knowing how my feelings on Lincoln are generally received, but I do have to ask...

It also traces his struggles in office as he sought to end slavery and bring a halt to the Civil War.

Bring a halt to the war?!? It was his war! How about just not starting it in the first place?

A true "States Rights" advocate if ever I saw one. Join the club, pal ^5! Unfortunately it is true that you may have just set your self up for a flamefest. I am one who also agrees that the states had a constitutional right of secession. Brace yourself for the cannonballs and get ready for what my oldest son calls "longest cease-fire in history" to end.

Did you ever tell me where you were from? I'm trying to locate Kentuckian Viners and let them know about The Kentucky Vine.

Not by much. I lived less than 20 minutes from the Tn. border when I was in High School. Hoptown (aka Hopkinsille) down by Fort Campbell and Clarksville, TN.
